Setting Sail Southwards

Welp, off I go. Leaving at about 3:00am to go visit some friends in Dallas before I end up flying to Canadia. Then, I'll get to see Bella for a nice long while, yay :D

The boring part is going to be the 5 and half hour drive that I have to endure, mostly on this one long boring stretch of highway ;-;, I know, pity me.

Audio Aesthetics Is Alive.

Finally after a few weeks of procrastination, I've started posting to my MP3 Blog. Nothing amazing, just decided I'd join the legions of people that already have one, except toss my taste into the mix. Most of them have some catchy clique or niche to fill and I haven't quite found mine, so I'm sliding in just with tunes I like, posting what relevant info to the song I can along with a link.

So far it looks nice, but, I'm not sure it's attracting much (if any) attention.

Registered new domains.

Welp, new projects abound. I got 3 new domains:

  • nanenj.com
  • enjnan.com
  • angelkitty.org
1 came free when I signed up for hosting at dreamhost, the other two were early birthday presents from Evelyn. The dreamhost hosting is... amazing, you can host as many domains as you want on a single account, and you start with 20gb of space and 1 terrabyte transfer, and it goes up 8gb every week! If you're looking for good hosting and need to host more then 1 domain, I've not found any other host that comes close to offering the features dreamhost does. I highly recommend it.

The first two domains are for Elise and I to use for personal pages, or projects that we want to directly attach to our names. We're not quite sure what we're gonna put at angelkitty.org, but, we've got a few ideas. ;)

Spring Cleaning in Winter

Well, I decided to go ahead and clean up most of my previous entries, in an effort to start a more regular personal blog ;). Probably where I'll just babble about all my silly personal projects and websites. My two major projects at the moment are Lyriki and GamersOasis.

Lyriki is a wiki-based lyrics site, it's been growing in leaps and bounds and is currently the largest lyrics wiki on the net. Pretty neat.

Gamersoasis is an older gaming forum, it's been around for a few years and has a few 100 members and daily activity. Pretty great community and still growing a bit.

I've got an MP3Blog planned in the future, and maybe some other work. I figure if I go at it hard enough, I'll hit upon enough things that can generate a small cashflow, which is a good thing. Just not the easiest thing to pull off. Each project has to build an audience, then on top of building an audience, it has to -keep- that audience returning. Not as easy as it sounds.
